I trained as an electrical technician with South Wales Electricity Board in 1980. I progressed to EHV electrician, maintaining the 66 and 132kV networks. I left SWEB in 1988 to set up merlin electrical, and run that company until 2005 when I left for New Zealand.
Since coming to New Zealand I have worked for a very small family business a large industrial complex and for myself.
In 2012 I became the electrical advisor to and NZDF at Wellington and later went on to become the SNOCi/c of the electrical bay at Base Ohakea.
